THE LAUNCHING OF 2018A AGRICULTURAL SEASON IN NYARUGURU
The launching of the agricultural season 218A in Nyaruguru District, was presided over by Hon Governor Mureshyankwano Marie Rose,with the Mayor and other leaders and security organs, in Kibeho District, Rwoganyoni marshland this Tuesday 19th of September 2017.
All speakers have emphasized on diligence and hard work, in order to fight malnutrition and strive for food security, to make early orders of fertilizers and make use of them.
Health insurance, was also part of the message of the day, where farmers were urged to make small savings to secure their lives first, because life matters most, farmers in cooperative were also requested to make a community outreach plan, to mobilize for everyone to have a health care insurance.
Hon Governor started by expressing her gratitude for the previous harmonious elections, and the role played by Nyaruguru inhabitants, especially Kibeho sector and Mubuga cell residents for their commitment and the efforts invested in, to make fair and peaceful elections.
She again appealed to Rwoganyoni marshland farmers, to make a good use of this land, for them to prosper and use all types of fertilizers, ‘this is a result of a good governance topped by H.E Paul Kagame, H.E Paul Kagame and leaders will never cease to look for solutions towards sustainable prosperity, and among them, various partners were brought to you’, said the Governor
It was a golden opportunity to introduce to them KOICA agents who were present and who also played a big role in land preparation of Rwoganyoni marshland.
Hon Governor also has insisted on Family planing and savings, where she appealed to the polulation to strive for a healthy living by paying health insurance and on time because life matters. She closed her remark by thanking them and with other local leaders solving people’s complaints.
Rwoganyoni marshland measures 40ha and it is occupied by a cooperative, and the total land to be used for agricultural purpose in this agricultural season is of 180ha, in the entire Nyaruguru District.
