THE FIRST EVER PEAT TO POWER PROJECT IN AFRICA LAUNCHED IN RWANDA
The ground breaking ceremony of the first ever tailored peat-to-power technology in Africa, in Gisagara District, Mamba sector, Kibumbwe cell, was presided over by Hon Minister James Musoni the Minister of Infrastructure, various sponsors of the projects and other Government officials and partners this Tuesday the 09th of April 2017 .
All speakers have hailed the political will to develop Rwanda through strengthening power plants projects as it is indicated in the vision of H.E Paul Kagame, they have also saluted this big project which will not only provide electrical power to Gisagara inhabitants, but to the entire country.
In the name of all investors and sponsors, Mr Hakann representing Hakann family which is the implementer, has saluted H.E Kagame’s zeal to cooperate in fast trucking development of the country through various investors, and told the surrounding that all these activities are theirs, that their cooperation matters most for the success of this project
Hon Minister urged the surrounding residents to take advantage of this project and start creating other jobs in line with it, and Mamba inhabitants have expressed their utmost happiness for this project and pledged(through the speech of the Mayor) to be cooperative to the investors.
This project will increase up to 40% power capacity; it is the second largest private investment in Rwanda and the largest independent power producer in Rwanda, and also is going to be the first peat-to-power technology in Africa.
