SOUTHERN PROVINCE LAUNCHES NOTARY SERVICES AID WEEK L IN MUHANGA
Honorable Governor Madame Mureshyankwano marie Rose, with the mayor of Muhanga District, Mme Uwamariya Beatrice, accompanied with many other local leaders and security organs have today, 30th of July 2018, launched the notary services aid week in Shyogwe Sector, where local residents have been received notary services on ground.
On Rwanda Management Institute (RMI ) playground, a huge crowd of people were ready to receive the Governor on this day which has coincided with Tuesday which is normally a day of resolving public complaints through public meetings.
On her arrival Honorable Governor with Madame the Mayor, started by, watching how notary services were being provided on the ground, such as registration of the children and recording the departed ones, where the service providers from the sector had come to find people on ground and free of charge.
Honorable Governor stated that it is very important to record the departed and the new born within due time, as requested by the law, because it all has a direct implication in planning process, she said; “for example you give a birth to a baby, and you don’t register her, how do you expect the Government to know he/she exists? Consequently, the Government will have no plan for the child before you register him/her, moreover, you will be abusing your responsibility as a parent and violation of his/her rights, the same with the departed ones”.
She continued, appealing to the population present, to use profitably that chance, and if they happen to occur some conflicts with the spouse, they were advised to first register the child and resolve their dues later without denying the child’s right to be recorded.
During this meeting, also Shyogwe residents were given a platform to ask their problems and inputs, as a way of strengthening good governance based on accountability, this Notary services aid week will end on 10th of August 2018.
