Road safety campaigns rallies in Southern Province has been an opportunity to share with vehicles, bicycle and motorcycle owners and users, how better, road safety can be preserved by just following traffic rules, the campaign was headed by Hon Executive Secretary of the Southern Province, Southern Province regional Police Commander CP Gilbert Rwamungu Gumira, Mayor of Huye District and other different leaders, also all security organs were represented, this Wednesday 23^rd 0f November 2017.

Discussions and sharing of experiences were preceded by a procession, where participants were reflecting on road safety and different traffic rules, and were made of different leaders in various sectors, motorbikes, bicycles and other vehicle owners, who were singing and coloring the event by various songs portraying their enthusiasm.

In his summon, the RPC of the Southern Region, has given statistics of the accidents, all related to the violation of traffic rules, where he assured that, the target of Rwanda is to put a dot to deaths and all other damages caused by violation of traffic rules.

He again appealed to all participants, to never hesitate, in case they come across, any situation where traffic rules are violated, because they will be saving lives, also contributing to security of the people of Rwanda at large.

The program of the day was closed by the guest of honor, Mr Mushaija Geoffrey, the Executive Secretary of Southern Province, who urged them to ride when they are sure of their safety, this includes driving permits, and having all necessary health insurance.

Also hygiene was on the agenda; where participants were requested to fight hard to always look smart, on their bodies, in what they wear and in their homes in particular.
