RDB AGREES WITH THE INVESTORS ON INVESTMENT INCENTIVES AND PLEDGE TO WORK TOGETHER CLOSELY
This was one of the resolution of the meeting held today 25th of April 2018, in Huye District chaired by Hon executive Secretary of the Southern province Mr Mushaija Geoffrey , with the RDB head of investment Mme Winfred Ngangure a meeting which was discussing the investment incentives in Rwanda.
After a presentation about the investment incentives in Rwanda, the Private Sector Federation, southern region also presented the business opportunities found in the Southern Province and how investors can take advantage of those opportunities to invest in even more of their treasures.
In his presentation, the chairman of Private sector Federation in Southern region, Mr Bigirimana Jean Bosco, stated that a lot has been done, but we can’t cross the finger and rest, because the business opportunities found in the Southern region is enormous and waiting people to exploit them exhaustively.
Aftera long discussions, investors and RDB agreed to closely work together, I order to harmonize business sector in Rwanda, so as to see in the near future many of Rwandan investors developing the country.
Investors were also urged to remember to register not only their companies, but also their business and exploit those incentives related to registered investments.
RDB also elucidated the improvement and a huge step that was made due to those incentives, where in 2010, the registered investment was of 238 millions of Dollars, but last year in 2017, it had brought up to 1,6 billion of Dollars.
In all the investments found in Southern Province 58% is local by Rwandans, 41% is foreign and 1% is about investment where both parties are shareholders.
