POPULATION NEIGHBORING NYUNGWEPARK CELEBRATES THE FRUITS OF TOURISM.
National Park of Nyungwe formerly known as Nyungwe Natural forest was recently crowned a National park, where after, the people who used to reside inside that park and at its belt have started reaping on the fruits of that crown, and some were shared during the official launching of 10 houses constructed by Rwanda Development Board (RDB), for the park belt residents, ceremonies which held this Friday 27th of July 2018, at Kitabi Sector of Nyamagabe District.
During this ceremony where Honorable Governor Marie Rose Mureshyankwano was the guest of Honor, she was with Mrs Belise Kaliza, chief Tourism Officer at Rwanda Development Board (RDB), The Mayor of Nyamagabe Districts, and many other local and security leaders, and Kitabi residents were also invited.
In her remark, one of beneficiaries of this project expressed her joy to the Government of Rwanda, for continuous visionary leadership, which includes everyone, she again promised their constant support to this initiative and promised a warm welcome to all visitors, who will be visiting this forest, however, she appealed to the leaders present to supply them with electricity and some Domestic animals, an idea which was embraced by the leaders.
Mrs Belise Kaliza, also appealed to the beneficiaries of this project to own its fruits, starting from those houses, requesting them to use them as they are theirs, she again stated that, more investors will be coming because of that park and one of them has agreed to supply them with domestic animals as requested.
As a closing remark, Honorable Governor expressed her gratitude for the Government of Rwanda, and its visionary leadership, for always choosing what is good for its people, she added that, Tourism is a milestone to country’s income and it contributes a lot to the National budget.
“All these infrastructures are here to help you, because the Government of Rwanda cares about your lives, and as you have heard, more are about to come your way”; she added.
She also told the participants that, the District will include the on grid power supply project into the next financial year budget, and will work upon it.
10 houses that were launched by RGB, are hosting 10 families, and among the package, beneficiaries will be given some Domestic animals.
