GISHAMVU RESIDENTS URGED TO MAKE NEVER AGAIN A REALITY
Gishamvu, one Huye district sectors, has commemorated the life of all tutsis who were brutally killed during the 1994 Genocide against them, a rite whereby one body was laid to a worthy rest in a memorial site, where also political leaders and security organs were present; this has happened this Thursday 20th of April 2017in Gishamvu parish.
The commemoration was started by a holy sacrifice of mass, to pray for all the victims of the Genocide against the tutsis, especially those originated or executed from Gishamvu sector, where the homely by the priest, insisted on the negative impacts of the Genocide to both perpetrators and victims, where everyone was urged to fight anything that can make Rwandans go back into those darkened period by especially completely strive to eradicate genocide ideology wherever it may be still appearing.
In the testimony and the speech of Ibuka representative, both have made a flash back to a bloody journey that tutsis had to go through and how mercilessly they were killed or tortured, they also expressed their hope for the future rooted from the good leadership which reigns in Rwanda and the security in general, stating that it looks impossible to experience Genocide again.
In his speech, mayor of Huye district, Mr Kayiranga Muzuka Eugene and the Guest of Honor, Honorable Kayitare Innocent, who is a member of parliament, insisted on fighting Genocide ideology, because it is the root cause of the Genocide, appealing to everyone to make never again a reality.
They again tackled on the payment of the survivors treasures, stolen or ruined during the Genocide, also appealing to those who played a role in destroying to pay with a good heart and as first as possible so as to facilitate the way of Unity and Reconciliation that Rwanda is committed to pursuing.
During the commemoration, one body which was recently found was laid to its worthy rest, in the memorial site of Gishamvu.
