EVERY CHILD HAS THE RIGHT TO LIVE IN A FAMILY AND WE MUST PUT A DOT TO GBV BY ALL MEANS, “MINISTER NYIRASAFARI”
These are the words that marked today’s visit of Hon Minister of Gender and Family Promotion, Madame Nyirasafari Esperance, and his Counterpart Minister of state in the Ministry of Agriculture Mr Fulgence Nsengiyumva and various other leaders, among them Honorable Governor of the Southern Province Madame Mureshyankwano Marie Rose, this Thursday the 09th of November 2017, in Huye District.
They started the day, by visiting Mpaza Marshland where 50hectares are covered by maize plantation, and met the cooperative which uses that marshland, which is made by the biggest number of women, where they expressed their gratitude, for the implementation of gender policy in that cooperative, here, the minister insisted on asking them to serve as example to others, and also help in fighting Gender based violence and malnutrition.
She, The Minister with the delegation, continued the journey to Huye sector, where she visited the ECD and other projects, supported by various Non-Governmental Organizations operating in Huye Sector, and was grateful for the contribution of those partners to the development of the Rwanda, she, therefore, appealed to the beneficiaries to make good use of those funds, asking them to eradicate, Gender bases Violence, starting from their respective families, and to send their children to school, she again stressed on fighting malnutrition.
After the visit of those above said cooperatives, Honorable Minister and the delegation, visited two centers which help in fighting delinquency, by hosting and street children, aiming for rehabilitation and family reintegration, in her remark, she said that, the country is ready to give them the love which they never had a chance to experience, therefore living on the street in never an option to a Rwandan child, that, the government program is to integrate those children either in their respective families, where possible, or to be raised by the guardian angel.
Honorable Minister have had a chance to chill and have fun with those children, through dances and mutual charts, where she was accompanied by the Executive Secretary of women council and National Children Commission, and many other visitors.
