This was one of the resolutions of the meeting, which brought together, all people concerned with agriculture and livestock in Southern Province, where the main point on the agenda was to outline how far with the preparations towards the start of the Agricultural season 2018A, the meeting was chaired by Hon Governor, and held at Nyanza this Tuesday 22^nd of August 2017.

After a long discussion, about the difficulties which affected productivity, in the previous season, among them, sunny season which last longer than expected and fall army warm parasites in cereals, and the meeting has taken as a resolution to make a clear plan, considering such situations such as to avail parasites pesticides on time and many others.

In the meeting, also, participants were pledged to increase the quantity and quality of the livestock productivity, as they indicate the target they have set, in order to facilitate the monitoring and evaluation process.

The same will be applied in agriculture, where participants were requested to set target, and mention where any activity will be taking place from, the meeting requested that serious attention should be put to,  modern banana plantation, plantation of cassava because so far the cassava  seeds show no problem, to invest more efforts in plantation of rice, maize and beans.

Agronomists were also requested to monitor on a daily basis, if the crops that are on consolidated land are the ones planned, ad to avail fertilizers on time for farmers to use it on time, which results at the end, good productivity.

Honorable Governor closed the meeting requesting the participants to also, put more attention on crops for exportation such as, coffee, tea, vegetables and fruits.
