On Sunday 15 July 2012 at “Muhanga Youth Friendly Center(M.Y.F.C)” located inMuhanga District, Southern Province took place Women’s Breakfast Prayers that were organized by the leaders of this District aiming at praying for households for harmony after noticing that nowadays some families have misunderstandings which leads to divorce and this affects the children and the Country as a whole.

Apart from the Governor of Southern Province who was the guest of honor, this Breakfast Prayer was attended by different authorities including Senator Marie Claire MUKASINE, Vice Chairperson in the Ombudsman Office Madam Bernadette KANZAYIRE, the Mayor of Muhanga District Madam Yvonne MUTAKWASUKU, Army and Police Commanders in this District and over 300 women from different religious confessions doing different business in Muhanga District and this Prayer was also attended by Madam Elizabeth Johnson MUJAWAMARIYA from Canadian Diaspora among others.

The Mayor of Muhanga District Madam Yvonne MUTAKWASUKU thanked all that had come to share this special moment and asked each and everyone to take time to pray for harmony within families, to help those that have misunderstandings adopt positive manners and attitudes and asked the families and women particularly to be characterized by dignity and positive attitudes originating from the Rwandan Culture starting from their households before expending this to the country as a whole because “ The Family is the foundation of development; so it needs a special attention and care.”

The Vice Chairperson in the office of the Ombudsman Madam Bernadette KANZAYIRE asked the parents and women in particular to care for the education of their children teaching them positive manners of living in harmony with others to prepare a bright future both for themselves and for the country and called women to be associated in Associations, Cooperatives and Societies and insure permanent and harmonious life with their husbands in order to reach a sustainable development.

The Governor of Southern Province Mr. Alphonse MUNYANTWALI thanked those from far or near have used their efforts to make these prayers to be a success and especially special thanks went straight to the Government of Unity that give a space and environment where both men and women express themselves freely in happiness.

Governor Alphonse MUNYANTWALI also thanked the leadership of Muhanga District for having thought of organizing this Prayer Breakfast and highlighted that even other Districts should imitate this example always aiming at eradicating conflicts among the families for a sustainable development of the Country.
