Muhanga District,Nyarusange Sector 825 bodies were buried Muhanga,24th June, 2012 As elsewhere in the Country, in the Southern province at all levels, institutions both Public and Private takes place the commemorations in remembrance of the victims of the Genocide perpetrated against Tutsis in April 1994.

It is in this framework that this Sunday June 24th 2012 in Muhanga District, Southern Province 825 bodies were buried in dignity in a newly built Memorial Site in Nyarusange Sector, Musongati Cell.
The cost this Site was 34,000,000 Rwf and out of them 26,000,000 came from the contributions of the population and the other partners of this Sector.
This day was attended by different Senior officials including Honorable Gonzague RWIGEMA and Honorable Alphonsine MUKAMUGEMA, The Mayor of Muhanga District Madam Yvonne MUTAKWASUKU, The Army and Police Commanders in the area and a large number of the population had attended this commemoration.
All officials who took speeches and survivors who shared their testimonies they all congratulated the leaders at all levels in this Province, the partners and local residents in particular for having achieved this very important task and they were all called to care for the survivors to show them love and affection and helping in locating where the victims of the Genocide were put so that they can also be buried in dignity
