On Friday 16th March 2012, NPD-COTRACO that constructed the football pitch of Huye Stadium presented the final product to the district authorities.

It is the first phase of renovating Huye Stadium. The pitch cost about 750 million Rwf for a period of eight months.

Sources from the Ministry in charge of sports which coordinates the activities of renewing Huye Stadium reveal that activities to construct the stadium are sooner starting not later than April 2012 and they will take a period of one year, costing about four billion Rwandan francs.
