GRADUATION CEREMONIES AT RIAM
Muhanga, 21th January, 2012

This Sturday at Murambi in Muhanga District, Southern Province took place the graduation ceremonies for 71 graduates that have completed one year course in different fields. These ceremonies were attended by different officials including the Minster of Public Service Honorable Anastase MUREKEZI, The Governor of the Southern Alphonse MUNYANTWALI, The Executive Secretary of the Public Service Commission Mrs. Angelina MUGANZA, The Mayor of Muhanga District Yvonne MUTAKWASUKU, the Chair person of the Board of Directors at R.I.A.M Mrs. Stella Ford MUGABO, The Acting Director General of RIAM Mr. Yves NTABANA among others.
In total, 71 graduates shared in three sections:22 in Public Procurement, 25 in Human Ressources`Management and 24 in Project Management got their Post Graduate Diplomas.
In his speech, the Acting Director General of RIAM Mr. Yves NTABANA declared that this institution started its activities of empowering staff from different institutions in n2001; 10, 000 people went through its courses because they have been training 1000/per year and apart from this one the last graduation ceremonies took place in 2007.
Mr. Yves `also said that RIAM does not train employees just for the simple pleasure of training them but they also carry out a follow up and impact assessment to insure if the courses they give have an impact or bring a positives change in the institutions where these graduates come from.
Minister of Public Services and Labor who was also the guest of honor in these ceremonies Honorable Anastase MUREKEZI congratulated the Management, Board of Directors, its partners and entire staff of RIAM for the good step it has reached in building the capacity of employees and encouraged them to keep it up.
Addressing to the graduates, Minister Anastase MUREKEZI SAID” We need you to perform well, you are the future of this country, the Government of Rwanda give you with all possible means to make your dreams a reality, Rwanda our very nice country needs your skills and we are very proud of you”.
Addressing to all participants in these ceremonies in general Minister Anastase MUREKEZI said“We are in the process of performing RIAM so that it can deliver to higher levels, RIAM of today will be different from RIAM of tomorrow and we need RIAM to be a very strong institution.”
