YOUTH ARE CALLED TO BE SELF CONFIDENT AND ADVISED TO AVOID DRUGS

This Friday December 23rd, 2011 in the Conference room of Huye District in the Southern Province took place the launching of the campaign on encouraging people to create their own businesses that will help them gain money instead of being always dependent.
The launching ceremonies were chaired by different personalities including the Permanent Secretary in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry Mr. Emmanuel HATEGEKA, The Governor of the Southern Province Alphonse MUNYANTWALI, The Executive Secretary of the Southern Province Madam Jeanne IZABILIZA, all District Mayors of this Province, the Army and Police Commanders that work in this Province, the population of Huye District among others.
In her speech, the Director in charge of Entrepreneurship, Industry and Development in the Ministry of Commerce and Industry (MINICOM) Madam announce KURADUSENGE called everybody to feel free and think of a business that can lead them to richness and sustainable development. She also highlighted that the aim of this campaign is to encourage people to have good ideas of promoting their own economy no matter how small their business can be.
In these launching ceremonies, a business lady called Christine Dusabe who has a cassava processing unit in Rusatira Sector of Huye District was given time to give her testimony on how she started with a very small business of selling medicine with a capital of 300,000Rwf but now she has got a factory that gives her at least 6,000,000Rwf to the level that she is using an expert that has a Master’s Degree and she pays him over 400’000Rwf per month and her target is to keep increasing her business.
In his speech, the Permanent Secretary in MINICOM Mr. Emmanuel HATEGEKA congratulated the Southern Province for the good collaboration with this Ministry in different aspects of the promotion of business and called the residents of this Province to leave fear behind and starts thinking of revenues generating projects which will enable them overcome the drama of poverty.
Addressing to over 3000 people that have attended to these ceremonies, the Governor of the Southern Province Mr. Alphonse MUNYANTWALI thank everybody for the active role in the development of the country and reminded the youth that there should be no room for laziness and called them to avoid the use and consumption of drugs and start projects that will help them be self sufficient instead being always dependant.
