From Wednesday 12th to Thursday 13th October 2011 in Gisagara District took place an Accountability Day that had brought together all the partners in the Development of this District.

During these two days, different partners got enough time to present to the residents, neighbors and friends of this District the products and Services that they offer.

The closing ceremonies were headed by the Governor of the Southern Province Alphonse MUNYANTWALI but there was also other leaders both on the District and Provincial level.

In his welcome speech, the Mayor of Gisagara Leandre KAREKEZI rejoiced for the results of this exhibition because it enabled the population to know the Services and Products available in their District.

Mr. KAREKEZI called each and everyone for joint efforts and shared experiences for the development of their District and congratulated all the participants in this exhibition for having sacrificed their time.

The Governor of the Southern Province Alphonse MUNYANTWALI also thank everybody both the local leaders and the population of Gisagara District for their leading role in the success of this exhibition. In this exhibition the participation rate was 95% and was attended by over 10,000 people. In this special event 13 Heads of Villages who performed well got a bicycle each as an encouragement for them to keep this courage up.
