In this meeting it was noticed that the Southern Province has reached a good point in the construction of the classrooms and the eradication of the grass thatched houses but there are still gaps to fill in the Mutual Medical Insurance.

For the school construction, in Southern Province 606 class rooms should be constructed. Today 54 class rooms are above lintel beam, 115 are at lintel beam, where by 296 are at wall elevation level.

For grass hatched houses, among 12,457 families that were in these houses only 307 families remain to be settled and Districts concerned are Gisagara and Nyanza.

In this meeting, Governor Alphonse MUNYANTWALI reminded that " even if we are ahead in the construction of the classrooms more effort are needed in order to finalize the remaining ones and meet the target and to meet our objective, we need to set up a road map because it helps in follow and monitoring of the activities."

It was also highlighted that " We must be proactive and positive, the local leaders have to put more efforts in the mobilization of the population and sensitization of the population to adhere to the Medical Insurance."

It was also underlined that the leaders of the Villages and the Cells must be implicated more in different programs of the Government because they know better the situation of their population because they are closer to them and know their daily life.
